Maternity Shoot

It’s hard to believe that I’m almost 37 weeks along in this pregnancy and baby Hadassah could come at any time. The last couple of months have been full of unexpected twists and turns for my husband and I. Just one month ago we moved from Australia back to America after having just a few weeks to get rid of all of our belongings, pack our life into suitcases and actually make the move. It was such a crazy time but before leaving I really wanted to get some photos of this beautiful little girl inside of me in the Country where so much of this journey happened. So, just a few days before leaving Australia, with so many other things to do…I put myself together as much as possible and drug my husband to the beach in the pouring rain. Thankfully an amazing photographer there ( ) agreed to do the shoot even though the weather did not cooperate at all. In fact, in most of these photos, his wife stood over me with an umbrella and then literally ran out of the shot when he was ready. (Thanks Sarah:)

I’m so amazed at how well these turned out knowing how bad the weather was and so grateful I was able to still do it, as crazy as it seemed.

I’m dreaming of the day I get to finally hold my daughter in my arms, but I will forever cherish the time I’ve had to hold her in my womb. She already takes my breath away…sometimes literally!  I’m so grateful we were able to do this photo shoot because miracles deserve to be documented.

  1. 😘

  2. Oh Katy! Congratulations to you and Kab!
I had to stalk you online to find out what happened (as to why you were no longer at Influencers as I heard via the podcast that Pr Tony will be at the City Campus) because I started working away from Adelaide last November. You’ve been a tremendous blessing and I love raving to my friends back home about you (I love the fact you always say you’re a bible girl). Thank you for making the Old Testament so alive and relevant to today and I will miss your sermons (you are the reason why I would attend the City Campus – if I knew you’re speaking – sorry Kab! ☺️)
I bought the CD of your session from my first bU conference in 2015 (about Abigail and Nabal) because it spoke to me and I knew some of my girlfriends would have needed to hear the message as well.

All the best all of you and may God continue to use you to reach many many others for His glory! xoxo
